I woke up in the hospital after hip surgery and my nurse asked if I could move by myself over to another bed. Seriously? Groggy, moving instinctively, using all the functional strength trained into arms, core, glutes and quads at truPILATES classes over the past year, I lifted and shifted my entire body up and around my repaired hip in one smooth arc. The nurse was amazed! I relied on this powerful, functional strength every day during my recovery. I'm back to tru PILATES classes, hiking, swimming & dancing!
After a difficult pregnancy/delivery with my first son, I went into my second pregnancy intent on making things easier for myself. The incredible ladies at tru helped me achieve this goal. The strength and muscle control I developed doing Pilates from week 12 through week 40 of my pregnancy made the actual pregnancy, labor and post partum recovery 100% more manageable! I was back in the studio 3 1/2 weeks after giving birth, ready to get back to this great practice and keep my body balanced.
While working with you, I learned better body awareness, better breathing techniques, flexibility gain, and tools to take care of my body and keep me healthy. I still use all the stretches you worked with me on. I want you to know all of my accomplishments truly would not have been possible without you! You are a master of your craft and bring such passion to your work. I will most definitely miss my time in your studio.
